Curriculum Vitae
Research Interests
My research focuses on the health and function of freshwater ecosystems, particularly ponds and wetlands in urban settings. As urban areas expand and climate change alters weather cycles, there will be increased pressures on water resources in cities. I hope to better understand the ecological processes within small urban waterbodies and the services they provide. The following topics outline my research interests:
- Freshwater ecology
- Urban systems
- Landscape ecology and spatial modeling
- Large-scale and long-term ecological monitoring
- Use of ecological data to impact management outcomes
